Access and security settings

Digital ID is designed to give you control. You can manage some aspects of your Digital ID on your Digital ID app. 

  • change your PIN or password
  • view or update your identity documents
  • enable Face ID if your smart device has this feature
  • view what services are linked with your Digital ID.

History and consent

Through your Digital ID app you can: 

  • see when your Digital ID has been used 
  • remove your ongoing consent to share your details when proving who you are to a specific service. 

Please note that if you remove your ongoing consent for a service, you will be asked to provide consent each time you need to prove who you are to that service. 

Report a privacy breach

If you are concerned about a breach of privacy, you can contact your ID provider or visit the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner website.

Report an identity crime or scam

If you think you are a victim of identity crime, contact your local police. The IDCARE website also provides access to specialised identity support for Australia and New Zealand citizens.

To report a scam, visit SCAMWatch or the Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network website.
