Makesure Consulting Pty Ltd (Makesure) has successfully completed accreditation under the Australian Government’s Trusted Digital Identity Framework (TDIF) for their digital ID service, RatifyID.
Makesure has received accreditation as an identity service provider for identity proofing levels 1, 1+ (Basic) and 2 (Standard), as well as a credential service provider for credential level 2.
Makesure will be required to undergo annual reviews to show they continue to meet the requirements for accreditation.
Makesure is the fifth service provider from private sector and corporate entities to be accredited under the TDIF, which assesses each service against strict rules and standards for usability, accessibility, privacy protection, security, risk management, fraud control and more.
The TDIF has been developed on globally recognised best practices and standards and is Australia’s privacy and security benchmark for digital ID services. The TDIF accreditation scheme ensures best-practice digital ID services across the government and private sector in Australia.
The TDIF program has informed the development of the Digital ID Bill, which was introduced into Parliament on 30 November 2023. The Bill will be supported by Accreditation Rules that will underpin the Accreditation Scheme to be established by the Bill. For more information head to Legislation | Digital Identity.
